My name is Amanda Marie Anderson.  I live in a smallish, yet very cozy apartment in Boca Raton, Florida with my husband Robert, and our miniature poodle, Ellie.  I’m newly married and have recently graduated from a small private school in Indiana, Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design.

For me, my adventure in art started with picture books.  The world of wonderment found between two pieces of cardboard accounts for hours of inspiration during my childhood.

Even though I’m older, that childlike fascination with picture books stays with me.  I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator, because it enables me to live in constant fascination and curiosity with the world around me.  I am able to absorb my surroundings and translate them to creative images on paper.  I find so much joy in simply sitting at my drawing board and playing.

Together, my husband and I enjoy music, food, films, and places that inspire creative thought.  Life in South Florida offers so much for the imagination.
